Everyday, dental professionals use the "dental unit", which encounters problems during use. Although each equipment has a set of operating procedures, improper use can still result in early failure and the need for repair. Therefore, we have a responsibility to train and guide users to use the equipment correctly according to the regulations in order to reduce equipment failure. Below, we will discuss the problems and precautions during the use of the dental unit.
Turn off the main switch on the equipment tray and cut off the power, gas and water supply of the equipment (including the dental chair) when leaving work.
If the equipment is not used for a long time, cut off the user's water, gas, and power supply, and remove excess water and air from the equipment.
The power supply must have a reliable grounding wire.
Cleaning
For the surface of the dental chair equipment, it is recommended to use household cleaning detergent as the cleaning agent. For the frequently touched parts, it is recommended to use medical alcohol or benzalkonium bromide solution for disinfection (recommended every half month).
It is recommended to use high-temperature and high-pressure sterilization for the nozzle of the three-use syringe gun.
The strong and weak suction heads are recommended to be disinfected with glutaraldehyde disinfectant.
The sputum cup should be cleaned frequently with a soft brush to keep it clean and tidy
Maintenance of the filter
Regularly (recommended every three months) clean the air filter of the dental chair; discharge the accumulated water in the air filter every half month to prevent water from entering the air path and affecting the normal use of the machine: unscrew the bottom screw of the cup counterclockwise to flush the accumulated water, and then tighten the bottom screw clockwise.
Regularly (recommended every three months) clean the water filter of the dental chair. When cleaning, remove the installation screws, remove the bottom nut of the cup body, then screw off the cup body, take out the filter cylinder, clean each part, and then reassemble it in order and tighten it to ensure the sealing reliability before use.
The miniature water filter should be cleaned regularly (recommended once a month). After unscrewing the valve body of the miniature water filter, take out the filter and clean it before installing it back.
Regularly (recommended once a month) clean the saliva filter in the box to keep the saliva suction unobstructed. Remove the round cover, take out the filter, clean it, and then install it back in order.
Regularly (recommended once a month) clean the air bottle at the bottom of the instrument tray. Unscrew the bottle body, clean it with dishwashing detergent, dry the sponge, install the sponge, and then screw the bottle body in the opposite direction on the joint before use.
The motor of the dental chair should not be started and reversed frequently to avoid affecting the motor's service life.
Check the outer sheath of the power cord frequently for damage and the power plug for good contact. If there is a safety hazard, it should be replaced by a professional maintenance worker.
It is recommended to have a professional maintenance person from the hospital conduct an electrical safety inspection every six months. Specific inspections include checking whether the leakage current and protective grounding connection meet the requirements.
For parts and machines that need to be scrapped, it is recommended to deal with them in accordance with local regulations.
